so, the day before yesterday (thursday) was my first day off in six weeks. very exciting. in fact, i was so excited that i slept all day. got up around 10:30am, had breakfast and went back to bed. yesterday, however, was the big day of fun and excitement. i got out of town. yes, we went downvalley - to a place called 'breakfast in america' in el jebel. i had an enormous omlette with hash browns and toast and fresh squeezed orange juice and lots of coffee. very nice. very american - had a lovely time. spent the rest of the day combing through thrift stores and antique/consignment stores. so fun. found some goodies, including a yellow sweatshirt that says 'trisha' on the front and 'lady panthers 14' on the back - nice.

am not sure how sad i feel about the demise of helmut newton but the pictures were interesting. not always very nice but he always made me look.

also, yesterday i went to walmart and bought a bathroom scale and some leopard print sheets and some fake tropical flowers with which to festoon my bathroom. actually, i'm very excited about the bathroom - it's just like a tropical paradise! in my apartment! every day! wah!
