i sold books to steven spielbergs wife the other day. he is not as short as i would have thought. usually, its the other way round. yeah, apparently, i was much taller than he had thought too.

am reading more and having a nice time at the bookshop.

our washing machine has flooded and the carpet on the other side of the laundry wall is sopping. its very unpleasant. also unpleasant is the fact that we have to call our landlord about it and dealing with him is never so much fun. hes a very odd guy. sigh. fun all round.

am now completely used to the cold. my weather standards have dropped about 20 degrees. now 0 degrees or so is fairly mild. hmm.

have discovered that makeup, like books, is the same real price here as in australia so its like half price. i love it! very exciting.

bought an itty bitty book light yesterday and can now read in bed. yes, i had forgotten about them too but they still exist and now i have one. yay. also on my list of things needed is a bathrobe/dressing gown. didnt bring one with me, sadly, but have seen a nice one on sale (50% off) in a shop in town. am considering it. i may wait until i get my next paycheck, though.

urgh! did you see that?! i wrote 'check' instead of 'cheque' . oh no! its happening! my americanization and downfall! boo hoo hoo!

am working at the inevitable lana marks today. only 10-3, though, so thats ok. wholly tolerable. gotta go, kids!
