it snowed a lot yesterday. it's quite cold now. the top temperature for today is -17 degrees (celsius, of course - that's 0 fahrenheit). it's warmed up - it was about -25 last night. ouch. it is very pretty, though, and i do get to wear my fur hat.

had a krispy kreme doughnut for breakfast this morning. very nice. it was just a little stale (a day or so old). i hear that fresh they're amazing.

have been listening to the new rufus wainwright cd recently. it's quite lovely. i recommend it. also, it's very funny: lyrics like "my phone's on vibrate for you". hur hur! don't be put off by the dreary cover art. also, the "lost in translation" soundtrack is very nice. have been trying to wean myself onto the new strokes' album. i'm halfway there. also, have been trying very hard with the sahara hotnights album - mostly just because i like the name so much. sahara hotnights! i love it! the music is fine. rah rah for rufus!
