urk! it's been a while since my last post.... over a month. wah! well, you know, since i was home for a couple of weeks i didn't think there was much point in blogging then and then, well, i guess i just kinda lost it a little. i was rotten sick with jet lag when i got back and did a lot of sleeping for the first week. then i was back at work and super busy catching up on everything. blah blah blah. here i am.

woke up this morning to a winter wonderland outside my bedroom (ie entire apartment) window. aah. so pre-e-e-e-etty. to me winter is america's typical state. i suppose that's only because i've been here several times in winter and only once in summer (last summer, actually).

actually missed the american coffee when i was at home. yay for cheap espresso but all i wanted was a mug of cat's piss american coffee - so weak, so tasty. hur hur hur!

indulged in bagels for breakfast this morning. must not make this a habit - will be the size of a house by thanksgiving (that's the end of this month, you know).

election day today. so far as i can tell it's just amendments and local school council and little (!) things like that. am excited about getting to cast my vote. i have no idea about any of the issues, though. urr... well, i'll brief myself pre-ballot with the newspaper. hmm. so far i'm thinking no slot machines at racetracks in colorado, and the city of aspen probably shouldn't buy the mother lode. i don't know about the new library scheme or the water thingies. hmm.

lost a contact lens yesterday. popped right out. pff.

stocked up on candy and put an orange glass candleholder with dancing cat silhouettes outside my door for halloween last friday night. didn't get a single trick-or-treater. little buggers. stephen and i are getting fat on the leftovers. sigh. must take them into work and fob them off on co-workers.

am looking forward to a turkeyless thanksgiving dinner. hur hur hur!
