new boots! new boots! i bought a pair of fa-a-abulous boots from christian dior last night. so beautiful! so nice! so lovely! they're black and knee high and have square toes and a million laces and yak fur trim at the top. wah! am very excited. am feeling a twinge about the yak fur so i made a small donation to peta today to atone for it. anyway, they're under the tree. i won't open them till the 25th.

nice news: a happy customer of the bookstore, who i've been doing out of print book searches for, gave me a bottle of champagne today to say thanks. perrier jouet no less. ooh ur! so nice, so unnecessary. but so nice. fits in nicely with my plans to have a champagne supper on christmas eve. aaah...

also, have discovered one of the nice things about being a buyer for a business: reps send you christmas cards. so nice of them. i got a fridge magnet from one of them, too. so thoughtful - i do need nice fridge magnets.

the book store is hell today. so busy. can't get any real work done because you're forever being interrupted to wrap presents and look for things. bleugh. hectic. makes the day go so quickly, though. woof!

snow this morning. pretty but all melting now. hmph. should have worn boots. nevermind... just wait till i crack open those dior boots. there'll be no stopping me! wee hee hee!
