What, ho!

Here's the haps:

1) Our friends Aimee and Adam where visiting us from Denver for a few days last week. We got to eat a lot and do fun touristy stuff (like see Ellis Island and the Cloisters) with them. It was really nice. We both took a couple of days off and had a little holiday in NY. Delightful! There are some photos on Flickr now and more to come.
2) Just finished reading Garnethill , which I really enjoyed even though it's
Scottish and quite grim.
3) Speaking of Scottish things, my friend Laurel just gave me a CD of the Old Blind Dogs and it's very enjoyable.
4) It's officially Autumn here - the equinox was last night. Hooray! I love Autumn in New York. We celebrated yesterday with a lovely root vegetable stew and fresh biscuits (the American kind - a bit like scones). Mmmm...
