australia day was huge here apparently. i sat at home and read the new york times and had homemade coffee from starbucks beans in my new paul frank mug (which is lavander and has that monkey face on it) and when to bed at a very reasonable time.

it is very mild here right now. not so good for the snow but it means that there's no ice on the footpaths - that makes me happy. snow is fun but ice is bad for everyone.

am already sick to death of valentine's day hoohah. the stores are all full of it. bah!

to be truthful, though, the valentine's hershey's kisses in their pink, red and silver foil are very pretty and have caught my eye in the supermarket several times now. like a magpie. perhaps i'll have to get some to look nice in the house. mmm.

now have my very own cereal bowl (pinky red, japanese) and mug (paul frank, which i mentioned before). this makes it so much more like home. i am not sharing these items with anyone - must remember to spread the word. oh yes, i hate sharing. sure, i was dosed up on sesame street with all it's 'co-op-er-at-ion' propaganda as a kid but i'm just not into it. i don't wanna share. no sharing! mine! all mine!

ok, so that's it for now. must return library books, buy stickers, check the mailbox, buy stickers etc etc etc.
