so i'm standing at the counter and i spot a guy lurking in the literature section and i think to myself, 'that guy looks a lot like bob carr', which is unfortunate because he's not an attractive man. then the lookalike comes to the counter and asks me about a new proust box set and - lo! - it is bob carr. well, i never. anyway, so then he goes on to ask some annoying questions that i can't answer because what he really wants is a very specific hardcover edition of 'the brothers karamazov'. sigh.

ok, so it was kind of exciting. certainly the most interesting thing that's happened to me all day. i was pretty engrossed in that tofuna sandwich, though, i must confess.
