have been watching the political ads on tv - mostly because i find them horrifying and fascinating at the same time.

i didn't do much interesting today. sorry kids. i had a big nap and dreamt about weird things. i did, though, join the local ymca. very exiting. coming up at the y there's a cookie exchange - you bring along 4 bags of cookies you've made and take home 4 bags of cookies that other people have made. apparently, such things are very popular. i can't see myself doing it, but you know, it could be an interesting ethnographic experience. perhaps i will - more blog fodder if nothing else.

went to the supermarket today. lots of fun. i find going to the supermarket and seeing all the junky foodstuffs (poptarts, twinkies etc etc etc) much like looking at porn - highly distasteful but fascinating none the less. it grosses me out completely but i can't look away. sehr freudian, i'm sure.

also, i have decided to try to understand american football. though, the players wear too much clothing for my liking. go broncos!

am also enjoying the ads for contraceptive oestrogen pads and yeast infection pills on tv. whoo!

have plans tomorrow for a big day downtown - must find somewhere to have a large breakfast that involves grits, apply for a social security number, cash some travellers' cheques, visit the art museum and try to find fur covered snow boots. yeah yeah!
