am starting work next week. will be nice to be earning money at long last. being impoverished is no fun. boo. did get new credit card, though, thanks to our super friendly household banker. funny guy. very helpful, though.

am having a nice night in this evening. catching up on email and going to bed early to catch up on sleep. have not been getting so much of that recently. sigh. i'm kind of trying but being a morning person isn't so compatible with late nights out on the town.

everyone has just come home from a local fundraising things. amanda won a light up beer sign. they tried to convince me they'd bought it in an auction and i had to contribute $20. uh huh. it's be-au-tiful. really.

really. i'm looking at it right now. all lit up. warms the heart.

am being coerced right now into going out for free drinks. i don't want to drink. sigh.
