it;s 8am and i'm sitting in my living room eating porrige and watching the snow fall outside. it's very white out there. it's the first real snow we've had in ages so everyone in the house is very excited. well, everyone else, i should say. i don't have a ski pass. or any equipment. or even really know how to ski. i've done it a couple of times. the last time was about 10 years ago. hmm. maybe someone can teach me but the whole exercise is so expensive - gear, lift tickets etc etc etc. a couple of my housemates just got jobs as ski instructors so they get paid to swan about in the snow all day. too bad, huh.

i kind of like the snow but at the same time it's kind of annoying because it hinders movement on the ground. the past couple of days i've walked up smugglers mountain which is a not very snowy mountain right nearby. it's good exercise. now that there's heaps of snow, however, i don't think i'll be able to do it until i buy cleats for my trainers. grrr. unless you ski/board or have gym membership you can't really do much exercise. everything's too expensive. bleugh. perfect weather for sitting around drinking egg nog but i'm not too keen on doubling in size while i'm here, you know. oh well.

had a weird dream last night about gangsters fighting each other with yo-yos. it was pretty cool, actually. the yo-yos were very threatening. they growled in the gangsters' hands. i was impressed.

saw 'harry potter 2'. it was very boring and long. we all fell asleep. though, 'lord of the rings 2' comes out tomorrow. amanda is very excited about that. very excited.

bought a box of white fudge dipped oreos and they last almost an entire day. have vowed never to buy them again. they are the enemy.
