it's still snowing like mad here. it hasn't stopped snowing since the night before last. it's very pretty but makes walking to work a fairly wet experience. i'm hoping to get a ski pass through one of my jobs - the store manager is working on head office. fingers crossed. even if that doesn't come through the instructing girls can get discounts on passes and gear etc. we'll see how it goes.
today i'm working at kenneth cole (coats, shoes, bags etc) 11:30 - 5 and then at ute city (casual fine dining...huh) 5:30 onward. today will be my first shift at ute city. should be interesting. hopefully, i'll end the evening with a little cash in hand from tips. that would come in very handy. i think it might be kind of a weird place, actually. hmm.
worked at lana marks yesterday for 4 hours and not one person came into the store. not one. heavy snow fall isn't exactly shopping weather, i guess. am not holding high hopes for meeting my sales targets at kenneth cole today. yes, that's right: sales targets. they're completely obsessed with charts and targets and numbers. it's kind of weird.
dreamt last night that one of my front teeth broke/fell out and the root was exposed. eeew.
am not working at the gap anymore. i get more money at lana marks and the staff are much friendly. also, it's less cult-like, though i did have to sign a form for lana marks agreeing to submit to a urine test if it ever comes to that. uh huh. whatever. anyway, so i spoke to the store manager at gap yesterday and she told me i was unemployable at an gap store, including banana republic and old navy. forever. ok. they had scheduled me to work 40 hours this week but hadn't actually told me about it. yeah. right. fine. to be honest, i'm not that cut up about not working there. i was feeling a bit depressed about the prospect of working there because most of the staff were strange and unfriendly. the store doesn't have the greatest atmosphere. a bit creepy. lana marks is right across the road. huh.
must go post some christmas cards today. apparently, today is the last day to send domestic mail to have it reach its destination before christmas. unless, of course, you want to pay extra, which i don't. sorry, chickadees, no christmas card for non-family. can't afford it. perhaps i'll send everyone valentine's day cards - i should have some cash by then. wah!
off to the post office. rah! rah! stick em in the jar!
