So which is more unlikely: that an FBI agent shows up at your work asking questions or that an imposter claiming to be an FBI agent shows up at your work asking questions? Personally, I think it would be weirder to have someone faking it, which is why it didn't really ocur to me that FBI Agent So-and-so wasn't who he said he was when he popped up in front of my desk the other day. So far as anyone can tell he really was an FBI agent. It made some people at work rather jumpy. Apparently, it turned out to be a not-so-big deal, which makes me wonder what everyone was freaking out about (eg. "We don't co-operate with them!"). It certainly made my day much more exciting that usual.
